Presidency, PDP fault ACN criticism of B’Haram ban

Presidency and the Peoples Democratic Party have carpeted the Action Congress of Nigeria over its comments on the proscription of Boko Haram and Ansaru.
While the Presidency said the opposition political party’s action showed desperation, the PDP accused the ACN of giving “tactical support” to the outlawed groups.
Both the Presidency and the PDP stated these in separate statements, which were made available to our correspondent in Abuja on Monday.
While the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, spoke on behalf of the Presidency, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, spoke on behalf of hi
s party.
